+++Event Details:

IMPORTANT NOTE: We recommend arriving at 6:45pm as the gates will close at 7pm. Please show up ON TIME by 7pm so we don’t have interruptions to our connection and our process.

***PLEASE BRING A MUG IF YOU WANT TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CACAO!***

  • REGISTRATION - Please register for the event to have a smooth check-in. Exact address will be provided after registration.  PLEASE KNOW I AM REQUIRING REGISTRATION FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS, EVEN IF YOU HAVE ATTENDED BEFORE!

    • CONTRIBUTION-BASED EVENT -  We are a community and it takes a community to make these events happen.  Cost per person - FREE.  We believe that everyone should have access to these teachings and will never charge a set admission for these dharma talks.  That said, we do incur costs so please consider helping so we can continue to offer these events.  We always welcome contributions of plants, soil, containers and other gardening supplies for the community garden and of course monetary donations are extremely appreciated. Will you consider donating? All monetary contributions are 100% put toward this community space! Any contributions can be paid through the registration app, in person at the event or through Venmo - @Water-Shepherd
    • PARTICIPATION:  Any volunteers to help set up and clean up are appreciated!  Additionally, if you would like to be part of the "garden team" to keep the grounds looking beautiful on a regular basis, please contact Water.
    • ENVIRONMENT:  This is an outdoor space! The ground is uneven and there are wood chips. Wear good shoes.  Dress for the weather. We will have cushions to sit on in the Portal of Consciousness (conversation pit). We have a fire pit and heater for the winter and in the hot summer months, there is an option to hear the talks in the pool if you would like to do that.  Please bring a swimsuit and a towel.   Please refrain from wearing oil-base sunscreen or other products prior to using the pool.  We also do our best to mitigate mosquitos, but DIY natural based spray is available if needed.

        More information about the event:  The Sunygata (the void/emptiness) is expressed as no ego/no self in the Great Wisdom Heart Sutra from the Wisdom Sutras. It is the acceptance of things as they are. This is the truest expression of unconditional Love. We will be doing a talk and meditation regularly on the new moon (representation of the void).  It is an untraditional "Dharma Talk," meaning that teachings will extend not only from Buddhist traditions, but will also include Sufi, Taoist and Hindu Traditions and Western and Yogic Philosophies.  The new moon is a void waiting to be filled.  It is a time for you to set intentions for what you would like to create in the upcoming new month and reflect on what you would like to let go of. Each month will be different. Come experience.

        ***Cacao ingredients are all organic and contains cacao, MCT oil, cinnamon, ginger, turmeric, black pepper, cardamom, garam masala, and cayenne pepper.  All ingredients are organic.  Why are we mixing a Meso-american tradition with other philosophies?  Because the benefits of cacao with the heart-opening affects create the embodied environment that may be beneficial for receiving the messages within these helpful teachings.  All is Sacred.
